It’s Time For Help From A Couples Expert
You are ready to do something different for yourself and your relationship. The next step in the process of healing is here!
You want things to feel better and the sooner the better. The truth is though, the issues you are struggling with didn't happen overnight. We are not going to solve them overnight either. I am not here to provide a bandaid, I’m here to help you get to the core and really heal not only in this moment but for your future.
The couples I work with get the best results when they are committed to couples counseling for at least A YEAR.
This can seem like a long time, but based on my outcomes research, it’s important you know what the data shows for you to get the outcomes you need in this process.
Let’s talk about the counseling process:

How Does Weekly Marriage Counseling Work?
Your Roadmap to Healing
Step 1: Schedule Your Free Consultation
It all begins with a real conversation. During this call, I’ll listen to your story, answer your questions, and help you decide whether a private intensive retreat is the right fit for your relationship. Afterward, we’ll decide which custom experience best fits your goals:
EFT Intensive — Rebuild Emotional Safety and Lasting Connection
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Intensive (KAP) — Quieten the mind, soften defenses, and unlock insight
Brainspotting Intensive — Release Emotional Blocks/Trauma and Rewire Old Patterns
Solo Healing Intensive — Deep Work for One, Transform Change for Two (with a custom blend of modalities)
Step 2: Book Your Retreat
For new couples (and individual clients), we start with a 2-day retreat (6 hours each day) in my cozy Wake Forest office. This immersive experience allows us to slow down and do deep, meaningful work without the “start and stop” of weekly therapy. Together, we’ll uncover your negative cycle, reconnect through new moments of safety and vulnerability, and begin transforming your bond.
If ketamine therapy is part of your plan, we’ll also discuss how to integrate it thoughtfully and safely with my collaborating medical prescriber.
Step 3: Transform — Ongoing Retreats & Deeper Healing
After your first retreat, we’ll continue your journey through a series of 1-day (6-hour) follow-up intensives to deepen connection and solidify your new patterns.
Most couples commit to at least 5 intensives for true traction, and around 12 intensives over a year to sustain deep, lasting transformation. While that may sound like a big commitment, it’s far more efficient, and life-changing, than years of traditional weekly therapy.
How Much Does Marriage Counseling Cost?
My fee for a 6 hour intensive/retreat is $3000. You and your marriage are worth it!
“Irina pretty much saved my marriage and made our emotional connection even stronger than before we had children, so I highly recommend her to all my family and friends struggling with communication and “roommate” marriage-type problems. She is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also a direct, caring, and very compassionate person. It might take you awhile to get there, but you won’t regret your investment, I promise you that.”
Your Location:
All sessions take place in my cozy, private counseling office in downtown Wake Forest.
If you’re traveling from out of town for a retreat, I’m happy to recommend comfortable nearby accommodations to make your stay as easy and supportive as possible.

You are at the end of the rope with your relationship and you need something right here right now. It is hard to go through life day by day feeling unsure in your relationship.
At times, we all find ourselves struggling to navigate the complexities of married life. If you're searching for a lifeline to pull your relationship back from the brink, my specialized marriage intensives in North Carolina might just be the answer you've been seeking.
Am I a Good Candidate for an Intensive Marriage Retreat?
It's crucial to emphasize that marriage retreats/intensives are not a remedy for every situation. My focus is on helping couples who are genuinely invested in their relationship's growth and are committed to making it work. My marriage retreat is not a solution for those who are actively involved in extramarital affairs or experiencing any form of abuse. I believe in fostering a safe and respectful environment where couples can thrive and build a stronger bond. I will always recommend starting with individual therapy first if you do find yourself in a relationship involving infidelity or any kind of abuse or addiction.
I am Not Sure If I Need Marriage Retreats or Weekly Marriage Counseling?
If you’re a high-achieving couple, there’s a good chance you’ve already tried traditional weekly therapy. You value growth. You’re emotionally intelligent. And yet… it didn’t quite work.
Here’s why weekly marriage counseling often falls flat for couples like you (which I saw year after year since starting practicing in 2013):
The 50-60 min session time is too short.
By the time you catch up on the week and regulate your nervous systems, the session is basically over. Real work barely begins.
Momentum gets lost.
You open something vulnerable, then life takes over. Deadlines, kids, logistics—and the old cycle snaps right back into place.
Your pace is faster than the format.
High-functioning couples don’t need “check-ins.” You need depth, clarity, and sustained focus to actually shift the pattern and sustain that shift.
That’s why I only offer private couples retreats in North Carolina. These intensives create the time, safety, and momentum needed to get to the root of what’s stuck, and to finally create real, lasting change.
If weekly therapy feels like spinning your wheels, a retreat may be exactly what your relationship needs.
Are Marriage Retreats Done Online or In Person?
You can choose between meeting at my downtown Wake Forest office location, your home or office (for a select number of clients; additional fee applies), an airbnb, or doing it online from the comfort of your home (extreme circumstances, approved in advance).
A Reality Check on Expectations
While my marriage intensives are powerful tools, it's important to remember that they won't magically solve all of your marriage issues overnight. Just like any journey to healing, it takes time, commitment, and effort from both partners. Customized EFT Intensive provides a strong foundation for reconnection, but most couples find that continued follow-up intensive work is essential for lasting results. I am here to support you every step of the way.
Investment:
1 day Marriage Retreat starts at $3000 (1.5 months of therapy in 1 day)
2 day Marriage Retreat starts at $6000 (3 months of therapy in 2 days)
Don’t hesitate.
Invest in yourself.
You are worth it.
Your marriage is worth it.

“We've just completed a full day EFT intensive with Irina, and are shocked how much we didn't know about how each of us was really feeling on the inside (we have been together for a very long time). This technique is simply amazing and I am actually excited to continue working on my relationship for the very first time ever. Just do it.”

“I cannot recommend Irina enough! Her virtual therapy option during the pandemic has saved my marriage.
Irina is passionate about her work and deeply cares for her clients. My only regret is that we should have reached out to her years ago”.

“Irina has been an absolute blessing in our lives. With her compassionate approach, she has not only helped to save our marriage but also guided us towards a future filled with love, understanding, and anticipation. We are now proud parents-to-be, expecting twins, and we owe a great portion of our unity to Irina's expertise. From our very first session, Irina made it a priority to ensure that both my husband and I felt heard and understood. Her genuine nature and empathetic demeanor created a safe space for us to express our deepest fears, frustrations, and desires. Irina's ability to connect with us on an emotional level fostered a sense of trust that was vital for the healing process.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Irina's approach is her authenticity. She never hesitated to challenge us when necessary, encouraging us to confront uncomfortable truths and address unresolved issues. Her guidance extended beyond mere words, as she provided practical recommendations for activities and work that would help us rebuild our connection. We followed her suggestions, and even months later, we continue to reap the benefits.
What truly sets Irina apart is her genuine passion for counseling. It is evident that she isn't driven by financial gain but rather by a sincere desire to help couples find happiness and harmony. Irina consistently demonstrated that she had our best interests at heart, and she never hesitated to let us know when she believed we were ready to graduate from therapy or when she felt we needed more work. This level of transparency and honesty allowed us to trust her deeply.

“Irina is an empathic and caring therapist. She works incredibly hard to come alongside her clients to understand their experiences. With couples, she brings understanding to their negative patterns of interactions that create disconnection and helps them to create new options amidst these patterns. She is direct and transparent about her clinical work and creates a safe space to go into difficult and painful spots with the purpose of repairing hurts and building reconnection in couples. Irina is warm, interactive and direct in her style and overall is a wonderful clinician.”

Relationship Counseling For One
You are tired of feeling inadequate, overwhelmed, and lost.
It's evident that the stress you're experiencing is taking a toll on every aspect of your life. The impact is far-reaching, affecting your emotional well-being, relationships, work, and self-care efforts. Here's a breakdown of what you might be going through:
Emotional Drain: You're feeling emotionally drained, and tears often feel close to the surface. This constant emotional weight can be exhausting.
Irritability: The stress is causing increased irritability, which is manifesting in your interactions with your children and partner. It's understandable how prolonged stress can affect your patience and tolerance.
Marital Worries: The future of your marriage is a significant source of concern, leading to sleepless nights filled with worry. This uncertainty adds to your emotional burden.
Difficulty Concentrating: The overwhelming stress is making it hard to focus both at work and at home. Concentration becomes a challenge when the mind is preoccupied with worries.
Struggle with Self-Care: Despite your efforts to engage in self-care activities, it feels like more of a chore than a source of relief. This can lead to further frustration.
Self-Criticism: As the stress mounts and self-care efforts seem ineffective, self-criticism sets in. You may find yourself caught in a negative thought spiral, blaming yourself for your emotional struggles.
Desire to Numb Emotions: The weight of these emotions may have led to a desire to numb or escape from feeling altogether.
It's crucial to recognize that what you're going through is a challenging and distressing experience. Seeking support from an experienced therapist can be instrumental in helping you navigate these emotions, develop coping strategies, and work towards finding relief from the overwhelming stress. You don't have to go through this alone, and I can help!
You are ready to take a moment to focus inward, to foster that self-love, and to build a stronger connection with the person you see in the mirror. After all, you know that a robust and loving relationship with oneself often becomes the cornerstone for nurturing profound connections with others.
Not sure if I start with individual counseling or marriage counseling?
Many clients who are struggling in their relationship and are looking for professional support are unsure whether they would benefit from individual counseling or marriage counseling or both. If this is you, you are not alone. Many people don’t know this, but as part of our marriage counseling work, we will have an opportunity to meet both individually and as a group on an as needed basis. On other words, you will have a chance tor receive individual support even when you are doing marriage counseling sessions. Also, it is not uncommon to start with individual counseling and then add your partner later on, it all depends on your unique situation. We will be discussing all these details during your free phone consultation.
